the certification authority considers this type of carabiner to be very safe (even if they have a lower deformation load compared to aluminum ones), because they do not suffer from fatigue problems due to deformations with cyclic loads.

Safety also derives from the fact that they can not be opened under load (in flight).
They are therefore suitable for use on the single seat harness, but NOT as a main carabiner on the tandem glider.
